We borrowed it from the library, and renewed it, and renewed it, and he still requests it months later. They make me feel good.
;) He became very excited about the topic of kittens in general after we got this from the library. By the way, my son especially likes this book when the kittens have a high, squeaky voice.
There is something about this classic nursery rhyme that still attracts me after all these years. They are charming.
It's a keeper. My 3-year-old son, just introduced to it, feels the same way.
I love these illustrations.
Or ordering the cd set. You wont go wrong adding this to your collection. I have used this book and cassette set for a decade now with my own children and day care children. it is always a big hit.
The pictures in the book are cute/lovely and detailed. That sure warms Grammy's heart. Her mom says she often sees her "reading" the book.turning the pages and reciting the story in her own words.
This book quickly became a favorite after I took it to her last winter. Then after showing them to her parents, she wanted to hang them on the Christmas tree. My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter is just learning nursery rhymes, and especially loves kittens.
When her older brothers came home from pre-school and 1st grade, they wanted to hear the story, and make mittens too. I now have 3 more copies for other grandchildren. I made outlines of mittens on the copier for her to color, (scribble) and cut out, (I did the cutting).
We strung them together with yarn and she wore them around her neck for the afternoon.
I am 7. The words are a nice size to read them. I think kids would like it from ages 1 to 7. I like Three Little Kittens because it's cute. I also read The Three Billy Goats Gruff by Paul Galdone and they are both good books, but my best one from those two stories in Three Little Kittens. The kittens and the mittens are beautiful. The pictures are beautiful. It's fun and easy to read it.
It is also fun to read. My 2 (almost 3 year old) really likes this book.
